Dr. Aniefiok “Anie” Uyoe is a Board-Certified, Fellowship-trained Joint Replacement Surgeon. He completed his undergraduate training at the prestigious Emory University in Atlanta, GA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended Medical School at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine where he developed an interest in Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Uyoe completed his Orthopedic internship and residency at the historic Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC, where he received the Outstanding Research award and the Leonard Marmor Outstanding Resident Award during his chief resident year. To pursue his interest in Joint Replacement Surgery, Dr. Uyoe completed his specialized Adult Reconstructive accredited fellowship training at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. He now practices at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.
In addition to some General Orthopedics, Dr. Uyoe specializes in Joint Replacement Surgery of the Hip and Knee. He has a special interest in the Direct Anterior Hip replacement procedure, which can theoretically decrease pain and speed up recovery for patients.
